Education Townhall meeting!
*Yes, this event is still on despite the weather. Please travel safely. I hope to see you there!*
Please join me at an Education Townhall Meeting to share your views about the government’s proposal to increase primary class sizes and eliminate Full Day Kindergarten (FDK).
We will hear from a panel of community members including:
- Jane Hanbuch, retired elementary principal
- Stephanie Bates, parent
- Dr. Celine Bourbonnais-MacDonald, Fanshawe College early childhood professor and former school board superintendent
Local trustees from all four school boards have also been invited.
You can read local reaction to the announcement in the London Free Press.
All are welcome to attend the Townhall Meeting!
You can take LTC to the school using routes 10, 11, 15, 24 & 28.
Townhalls are great opportunities for Londoners to raise questions and concerns related to the provincial government, so I can represent you more effectively at Queen’s Park. All are welcome to attend, and to discuss any topic of provincial interest. For example:
Minimum wage and changes to the Employment Standards Act
Climate change, cap and trade, carbon tax, and green energy products
Changes to education curriculum (particularly Health & Physical Education)
Hallway healthcare and mental health
Poverty, changes to social assistance, and the Basic Income Pilot
Use of the Notwithstanding clause
Jobs, trade deals, and business regulations
We will be inviting both verbal and written feedback, so that everyone is comfortable contributing. If you require accessibility assistance, please let my office know in advance at 519-657-3120 or email@example.com so we can best assist you.
