Ontarians rely on the province to uphold and enforce laws and regulations that protect our natural environment and ensure a fair, balanced and transparent approach to growth.
But Bill 5 will allow Ministers to make unnecessary and dangerous exemptions to these laws and regulations without consulting or even notifying the people of Ontario.
It would significantly reduce protections for endangered species and sensitive environments everywhere in the province, compounding a pattern of previous actions this government has taken to dismantle environmental protections.
