With inflation is at a forty-year high, people on fixed incomes are forced to make sacrifices every day just to survive.
The provincial government has made only meagre increases to Ontario Disability Support Program rates and no increases to Ontario Works rates in recent years. Recipients of both live in legislated deep poverty, and these small increases have done virtually nothing to improve their lives.
