Leading Women Leading Girls Building Communities Awards 2023

This energizing and uplifting evening brings Londoners together to honour the contributions of women and girls who are making a difference in their communities and neighbourhoods.

There are two separate categories: Leading Girls awards are awarded to recipients 17 years of age or younger; Leading Women awards are awarded to recipients 18 years of age or older. The award recognizes women and girls for:

  • Breaking down barriers and encouraging women and girls to get involved in non-traditional careers
  • Championing or actively promoting issues such as equality, diversity, healthy equal relationships
  • Preventing violence against women and girls
  • Reducing racism and discrimination
  • Encouraging girls to participate in any part of public service
  • Acting as a positive role model by mentoring, coaching, leading events or organizations
  • Providing a positive example to women and girls in their communities

Due to strict capacity limits at the venue, all attendees, including nominators and guests of the award recipients, must register ahead of the event.

If you are feeling unwell, have symptoms of COVID-19, and/or have been asked by the health unit to isolate, please do not attend. The use of masks and hand sanitizer are encouraged.

In the spirit of helping our community, we will be collecting toiletries for the local food bank at the event, so please consider bringing new and unopened toiletries, feminine hygiene products, and/or diapers.
