Health Care Connect

Health Care Connect helps Ontarians without a family health care provider find one. People without a family health care provider are referred to a physician or nurse practitioner who is accepting new patients in their community. To learn more information about Health Care Connect, click here

London InterCommunity Health Centre

Primary care services are provided by registered nurses, registered practical services, a community dietitian, physiotherapists, nurse practitioners and physicians at the London InterCommunity Health Centre. Walk-in clinics 

Walk-in clinics are medical clinics for walk-in or same-day non-urgent care, usually without an appointment. Doctors and nurses at these clinics can treat minor illnesses and injuries. To find out more information about walk-in clinics in London, click here

Urgent Care

The Middlesex-London Health Unit provides dental care services through Healthy Smiles Ontario and the Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program. 

Healthy Smiles Ontario

Healthy Smiles Ontario is a dental care program funded by the government that provides free preventative, routine and emergency dental services for children and youth 17 years and under from low-income households. To learn more about the program, click here

Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program

The Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program provides dental care to seniors who qualify. For more information, click here.

SOAHAC Dental Clinic

SOAHAC's dental clinic provides oral health care for indigenous and non-indigenous community members that are covered by a Status card/Non-Insured Benefits, ODSP dental card, Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program, Healthy Smiles Ontario, Children's Aid Society and Ontario Works statement of assistance/drug benefit card for the current month. ODSP Dental Benefits

 

Eye-health services and what is covered by OHIP. 

Children

Children and youth 19 years or younger are eligible for 1 major eye exam every 12 months and any minor assessments needed. 

Adults 

If you are 20 to 64 years old, and you have an eligible medical condition affecting your eyes OHIP will cover 1 major eye exam once every 12 months and 2 additional follow-up minor assessments. 

Seniors 

If you are 65 years and older and you do not have an eligible medical condition affecting your eyes, OHIP covers 1 major eye exam once every 18 months and 2 additional follow-up minor assessments.

You may be eligible for additional eye care if you are on the Ontario Disability Support Program. To learn more about vision care benefits of ODSP, click here

If you do not have vision care coverage under OHIP, Ontario Works will cover the cost for routine eye exams once every 24 months. Ontario Works may help cover the cost of eyeglasses and eyeglass repair. To find out more, click here
