QUEEN'S PARK - On this International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, we remember the 43 women who have died of femicide in Ontario over the last year and call on the Ford government for the funding and policy changes necessary to end violence against women.

Ms. Peggy Sattler: My question is to the member for Renfrew–Nipissing–Pembroke.
43 women have died in Ontario over the last year in acts of intimate partner violence. Nineteen of those deaths have occurred since June 2022, when the Renfrew coroner’s inquest released 86 recommendations to address intimate partner violence. My question is, why does the fall economic statement contain no mention of moving forward with those 86 recommendations that were made in the Renfrew inquest?
