QUEEN'S PARK - Families in London are facing an affordability crisis like never before. Carol Brisseau is a retired London West senior who lives with her adult son on ODSP. She struggles to pay her Enbridge gas bill, which has doubled over the last two years, and worries she will have to go back to work to avoid her utilities being cut off.
Instead of acting to stop price-gouging, and helping people afford basic necessities like food, housing and utilities, the Ford government continues to quietly rubber-stamp gas rate increases. The Ontario NDP stands with Ontarians in calling for financial assistance to help people struggling to heat their homes.
