In the lead up to Canada’s 150th birthday celebration in 2017, Equal Voice has launched Daughters of the Vote, recognizing the 100th anniversary of Canadian women’s first voting rights.
Young women ages 18-23 are invited to apply to participate in a national initiative that will engage 338 women, one from each federal riding, in events at their provincial/territorial legislatures, followed by a leadership forum on Parliament Hill over International Women’s Day – March 6-8th 2017. No political experience is required!
