Bill 177 would provide employees who have experienced domestic violence or sexual violence (or whose children have experienced domestic violence or sexual violence) with up to 10 days of paid leave, reasonable unpaid leave, and options for flexible work arrangements, and to require employers to provide mandatory workplace training about domestic violence and sexual violence.

Media Coverage and Reports on Bill 177:

Last week in the legislature my Private Member’s Bill passed second reading. Bill 177 provides survivors of sexual or domestic violence with up to 10 days of paid leave, flexible work arrangements, and “reasonable” unpaid leave. It also requires mandatory workplace training on domestic and sexual violence.
